US Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor rifle with 32 5/8" round Bbl, Cal, 45-70 with blade font sight and 1884 pattern Buffington rear sight. One piece walnut stock with SWP 1888 cartouche. US 1884 marked breech block with case colors. Condition. Barre, Breech and lock are excellent with brilliant bright bore. The stock is very fine with some period bruises and water staining at heel. Butt plate is corroded from moisture. Mechanically excellent.
