Offered for sale this week is a super nice example of the Colt New Army Model of 1894. This pistol is an antique and is in incredible condtion for its age. You never see these service revolvers with this much blued finish left. The example was originally sent to the Connecticut National Guard in 1896. Marked "US" on the butt and C131 under the grips. The C131 was Connecticutt version of a butt number. The wood grips are minty and not numbered but have the KSM cartouche. Kelly S, Morse was an inspector at Colts in 1904 only. This tells us that this pistol was sent back to Colts for repair in 1904. The cylinder is also marked with his cartouche. The bore is mint.
