Description:
Ruger No. 1-B chambered in 6mm Remington. This rifle features a strong, simple, compact falling-block breech mechanism with artillery-style breechblock and under-lever is ideally suited for today's cartridges. It has a sliding tang safety that provides instant security, visibility, and accessibility. A robust, sturdy, sculptured receiver forms a rigid support for barrel, stock and sliding breech block. The ejector mechanism provides maximum leverage at the point where the ejector engages the cartridge case. Integral scope mounts, machined directly on the solid steel quarter rib, provide a stable mounting surface for mounting scope rings. One inch rings are included. Cold hammer-forged barrel results in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity. The 6mm Remington rifle cartridge, originally introduced in 1955 by Remington Arms Company as the .244 Remington, is based on a necked down .257 Roberts cartridge.
