This is the Smith & Wesson Model No. 1 Third Issue revolver manufactured from 1868-1881. The seven shot revolver remains in excellent condition with about 90-95% of the original slightly dull nickel finish with scattered spots of flaking and very fine surface roughness on the barrel with the front of the cylinder turned brown. The grips rate excellent with only scattered use marks and are correctly numbered to the gun. The action functions properly with correct indexing and locks up tight and does not have any play in the barrel. An excellent and tight example of these neat little pocket pistols.
