Description:
This 20ga 1100 was Remington's first 20ga in that model and it was built on a 12 ga frame from about 1963 to 1974. I am the 2nd owner of this gun, afriend of mine bought it from an Army PX in Germany in the early 70s.
The std wt 20ga 1100s will have an X in their serial number.When I bought the gun in 2017 I ordered a Competition Stock Set from Remington. It is the same Stock Set you see on their Competition 1100.
Carbon Fiber, Bump Buster recoil reducer and adjustable comb. It is a very soft shooter and weights 8 lbs. It has a 26 inch fixed choke Skeet barrel. I had Keensights install an elevated rib set up to shoot 60/40 POI.
The high ribs was installed because I have had a cervicak fusion and have to shoot with head up position. It can be removed as it is just epoxied on. If you did take the elv rib off you would just lower the comb to its lowest position and it would be like a standard gun.
