Description:
CLASSIC 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINE, .30WCF, #908XXX, MADE 1920. After almost 105 years, a good serviceable '94 SRC, this one has a typically gray receiver where the blue has flaked (this era '94 had receivers that were case hardened and finished in a way in which the blue finish did not hold well and most are now found with little or no blue). The barrel shows good lightly aged and thinning blue with exc. markings, correct carbine ladder rear sight with slide intact and "double blade" front sight- I've seen this on a number of '94s of this vintage and can't quite understand the advantage over the standard smaller blade front sight. Mag tube mostly brown, solid stock and forend have been lightly sanded, good blue on the loading gate, tight action, solid safety half-cock, bore is a little dark with strong rifling.
