Description:
Revolver found in Mexico by a gunsmith living in Mexico in the late 1940's - 50's. A gun dealer from Wyoming bought the revolver from the owner and sold it to the present owner who lives in Arizona. I was told by the Wyoming dealer that the pistol was used in the Mexican revolutionary war.  Fires a large caliber ball.  Considered rare today. The gunsmith living in Mexico had it engraved including his name on top of the frame.  The hammer also engraved. The revolver weights 4 lbs 9 oz. The barrel length is 9.75 inches from barrel end to cylinder face. The gun cocks and locks back. Strong hammer spring. Trigger catches and won't release hammer. (needs adjusting) Walnut grips appear very old.  Plunger needs restoration. No original markings or numbers that I can find.  Selling as a relic wall hanger.  All sales are final.  A great piece of Mexican-American history.
