31763- ORIGINAL AMERICAN PERCUSSION DERINGER OR DERRINGER PISTOL CIRCA 1830’S-50’S. 8” o/a with 3 ½” octagon/round rifled .45 cal. barrel. German silver mounts and walnut stock with Deringer style checkered birds head grip. Pewter forend cap and original wood rod. Floral engraved lock, barrel tang and trigger guard. German silver wrist shield engraved “1833”. Good overall with wear Old hairline crack in forend. Working order. Well defined rifling. No maker name but probable Southern made.
