"Serial No. 11923(Importer), made in 1943 by Izhevsk Arsenal, 7.62x54R, 20.5" round barrel. Bore is bright with light frosting noted, rifling is strong. Original serial numbers are matching “**761" Carbine is in overall very good condition, minimal handling wear noted on the stock. Action is smooth and functions correctly. About 50,000 test M44 carbines were made in 1943.
