Description:
Marlin 1897 rifle .22 #247xxx. A very fine example retaining 96%+ original factory blue with some dull spotting on the underside of the mag tube near the muzzle. The sensational receiver and hammer retain a strong 97% of the original case colors while the lever has faded to 85% the forearm cap has faded to 65% blue. The wood on this pretty straight grip rifle is in 94% original condition showing several light handling marks accumulated over its long life. The bore is bright with very strong rifling, and the mechanics are excellent. $55 shipping.
Overall a nearly excellent collector/investment grade Marlin.
