The metal surfaces mostly pleasant medium gray patina with some pale undertones and showing a few small spots of mild oxidation staining but otherwise remains in near excellent condition. The barrel rib shows makers name inlayed in Gold. The breech plug, upper tang, back action lockplates and triggerguard all show fine smooth gray case hardening. The metal surfaces are embellished with foliate scrollwork with fine background shading and taistful little gold and silver inlays. The hammer screws and swivels show fire blue and the breech plug shows the family coat of arms. The checkered deluxe walnut stock remains in excellent condition retaining essentially all of its original finish with some scattered light dings and handling marks. Hardware fit remains excellent and the stock features a nice cheekpiece, fancy rosewood pistolgrip and shows lovely grain figure throughout.
