EDIT: I FORGOT TO MENTION IN ORIGINAL POST, THIS COMES WITH AN OLD WOODEN BOX FOR THE GUN. LIKE AN OLD TIMEY BULLET MOLD AND STUFF. *not sure if the box is original colt but it's an added bonus worth mentioning I guess. The internet states that colt made over 200,000 but due to widespread use during the civil war, post war disposal and destruction of surplus weapons, natural degradation due to decay, and loss or destruction due to floods, fires, and other disasters that only between 1% to 5% still survive. Many of the surving guns are in the Smithsonian, the Colt museum, and the National Civil War museum, or private collections. Note: This is 1st Generation, not a newer 1971-1982 replica.
