The mechanical function is very good and tight. There are four nipples that are fine and two that a tiny piece is missing. The barrel says Allen & Thurber Cast Steel
Worcester. The nipple shield is lightly engraved. The weight of this brute is 2 pound 7 ounces empty. Only traces of original finish remain. These large 6” 6 shot 36 caliber pepperboxes are called “49’ ers” were carried into the gold rush areas.
