The Winchester Model 1885 has a falling-block action, and two models were produced, the Low Wall and the High Wall. Ironically, this was Winchester’s first single shot rifle, the company having been founded on its winning lever action repeater design. John Moses Browning, the famed gun designer who forever changed the firearms landscape, began his career with this rifle in the 19th Century before dominating the world scene in the 20th Century. The overall condition is very good. Original finish/patina. This one has a number 2 round barrel. The action is excellent. The bore is fair, reflective with some erosion and decent rifling. Solid walnut stock. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 26 inches. Caliber: .32 Long (rimfire) Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe.
