Offered here for sale and just acquired is this very nice carbine style bolt action magazine rifle made by Mossberg. Mossberg Model 342 - Bolt Action Carbine .22 LR - Monte Carlo smooth walnut pistol grip style stock with black Tenite hinged pull down hand grip style forend with sling swivels and butt plate which are in excellent condition. Hammerless bolt action. 18 In. long carbine style barrel with adj. open rear sight and a front bead sight. Receiver grooved for scope . These carbines make great first rifles for younger shooters. Extremely hard to find in this condition. The rifle is complete except the rear target sight was missing when acquired the knob to adjust sight. The former ownr secured it with a nut and screw and can be used as is. Nice plinking rifle especially for youth.. Manufactured from 1958 to 1974.
