Description:
Winchester Model U.S. Rifle M1 Garand is a right-hand semi-auto U.S. Military rifle in .30-06 Springfield. It has a 24-inch barrel. A blade front sight with protective sides and an adjustable aperture rear sight. The butt stock is a smooth hardwood pistol grip. The forearm is smooth two-piece hardwood. February 1943 production receiver, "WP" proofed barrel, narrow base gas cylinder with front sight screw cover retained, D35382W.R.A." marked operating rod, short follower rod, "D28290-W.R.A." trigger housing, "C46008-1W.R.A." hammer, "C46025 W.R.A." trigger guard. Stock marked with "W.R.A./G.H.D." cartouche. Fine as arsenal refurbished and subsequently assembled back into World War II configuration, with softened receiver heel markings, signs of cold blue on the lightly pitted operating rod, dried grease, repainted gas cylinder, edge wear, and light handling marks. Stock is very good as revarnished with a few small areas of wood filler. Mechanically excellent. .30-06 Springfield
