Listed is a Rare Winchester model 64 Deluxe Prewar Carbine manufactured in 1935 in 30 W.C.F. with serial number 1092234. This Deluxe Carbine has the 20" barrel with the shorter than standard front sight ramp, blued finish, early fine checked stocks, capped pistol grip and Winchester logo hard rubber cap with decorative screw, quick disconnect sling bases on the forearm and buttstock, and steel checkered buttplate. A truly honest 98% Deluxe Prewar Carbine that has the 22H open (barrel mounted) rear sight and std. front sight with protective metal hood. In 1933 Winchester began drilling and taping the left upper rear side of the receiver frame for a receiver peep sight as a standard item, thus this Carbine is factory equipped for your sight choice. There is the slightest of sharp edge wear on the receiver of it's Prewar bluing and the wood has some visible handling/storage marks after almost 90 years of service, there are NO cracks and the bore is impeccable/excellent. The Winchester experts state that only a little over 5% of all Model 64's produced (67000) were Deluxe Carbines with 20" barrels making this quality Winchester quite rare.
