Description:
Serial #43869, .22 S,L,LR, 24 inch octagon barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Model 1903 standard slide action takedown rifle manufactured by Savage Arms Company. The magazine fed pump retains about 85-90% of the original blue finish on the barrel, silvering on the high edges with scattered freckling. The receiver shows about 65-70% of the original bright blue with toning to plum-brown with areas of freckling and slight roughness. The stock and forearm are solid with numerous old use marks and very shallow contusions. It comes with one original magazine bearing the 1908 patent date which is missing the original floor plate but functions properly holding 6 rounds. The action functions properly with a smooth slide and crisp trigger having a little movement between the frame and takedown portion of the action. FFL or C&R
