Description:
For sale we have a Dakota Model 76 African bolt action rifle in .404 Dakota. This rifle features a a finely figured walnut stock, hand checkered with pistol grip, ebony forend tip, engraved grip cap with trapdoor, raised cheekpiece, and leather wrapped recoil pad. The receiver is matte blued with controlled round feed, full length claw extractor and 3-position safety, five-panel bolt checkering, and 23" premium barrel with quarter rib, barrel band swivel, and express sights with hooded front. LOP is 13-5/8". There is fine scroll engraving on receiver, extractor, floorplate, barrel breech, barrel band, front sight, and matching Talley rings. Bottom metal features very detailed elephant game scene. Engraving was done by FEGA Master Engraver Lee Griffiths, known for his work on Colt firearms and Cabot Custom 1911's, among other guns.
