"Serial No. 37684, circa 1863-1865, .44 caliber, 8" round barrel. Metal has turned to mostly a grey patina with traces of original blue noted in protected areas. Left side of frame is marked “STARR ARMS. Co. NEW YORK" Recoil shield has the inspector Stamp “M" present. Serial Number is visible when hammer is pulled back. One-piece wooden grips show expected wear with scattered nicks, dings and scratches visible. Action indexes correctly with a tight lock up. Pistol comes with a period correct leather holster with most of the black leather missing.
