This is the Forehand Arms Company Top Break Safety Hammer Double Action revolver manufactured between 1890 when the company dropped the Wadsworth name and 1902 when the final pieces were transferred over to Hopkins and Allen. In excellent condition the barrel, frame and cylinder retain about 96-98% of the original bright polish nickel finish showing a some flaking and bubbling around the muzzle and on one chamber edge of the cylinder with scattered light handling marks. The blued trigger-guard shows about 95-97% of the original finish. The checkered hard rubber grips bear the Forehand & Wadsworth monogram and shield remain excellent with light oxidation on the grip screw. Timing and lockup remain sound and the ejector functions as it should with strong spring and snap. An excellent example of a revolver that is seldom found in such high condition.
