Description:
"Standard issue Model 1860 Cavalry Saber manufactured by Ames in 1863, blade is 34" in length with a fuller measuring 28". Ricasso is marked" U.S./A.D.K./1863" opposite side is stamped “AMES-MFg/CHICOPEE/MASS". Blade is bright thinning to a light grey patina with scattered nicks and dings visible along the edge. Brass handguard is a nice dark patina, leather wire wrapped grips remains in very good condition flaking noted. Scabbard is good with a grey patina finish
