Description:
This Special 50th Year Anniversary revolver is a Sturm, Ruger & Co New Model Blackhawk chambered in .357 Magnum. It has a fixed, elevated serrated ramp blade front sight, a "Micro" square notch adjustable rear sight, a 6-round fluted cylinder, a 4½" barrel, a high gloss blued finish curved trigger, a serrated stainless steel hammer, black hard rubber Ruger emblem grip panels, and is 10" in overall length. It has the black checkered smaller original size XR-3 hard rubber grip panels with silver Ruger emblems. A commemorative gold roll mark is on the top of the barrel: "50TH YEAR BLACKHAWK / ----1955 TO 2005----". This gun has the transfer bar, so there are two pins in the frame instead of the three screws as in the original. Another feature is a reverse-indexing cylinder pawl, which aligns the cylinder with the loading-gate cut-out for easier loading and unloading. It also has an improved hammer spring incorporated to make cocking easier. This magnificent piece offers the collector a unique opportunity to own a revolver with the look and feel of the original "Flat Top" design and all the benefits of 50 years of continuous refinements. The bluing finish is in excellent condition with only minute, minimally noticeable handling wear, if any. The hard black rubber Ruger emblem grip panels are in excellent condition with no discernable wear and no chips, cracks or scratches noticeable. The bore appears to be in unfired condition. It comes with the special red 50th Year Anniversary Ruger hard plastic case, owners manual, other paperwork, ECI, padlock. .357 Magnum
