Description: Serial #8622, 12 Ga (2 ¾" chamber), 30 inch Belgium Laminated Steel barrels with very fine lightly pitted bores choked about modified in each tube. This is the "Wm Parkhurst" branded double hammer shotgun manufactured in Belgium by Simonis, Janssen & Dumoulin for the American hardware store trade business. This example dating to the early decades of the 1900's and remains in fine overall condition with the barrels mostly a mottled brown and the receiver having small amounts of the original case-hardened colors. The stock and forearm are solid with numerous old contusions and use marks. The barrels are on face with a tight lock up and the rebounding hammers function properly with crisp trigger pull. A very good looking example of a classic Liege Belgium budget shotgun often found in much worse condition. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
