Description:
This is a super nice all original German P38 pistol, made in the first year of production at that Mauser factory in 1942, coded BYF42 and chambered in 9mm para. These are very uncommon guns as only about 12000 were made during that year compared to over 150000 during the subsequent years. The gun is all matching including the locking block and retains over 97% of its original blueing with just a hint of holster wear and minimal spotting on the slide as per pictures. Excellent bore and grips without defects. Decocker works perfectly. The front grip strap has nearly all of its blueing present. Original Eagle/135 waffemamt magazine. A very difficult variation to find in such exemplary condition.
