Description:
Elmer Keith Inspected Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 Rifle. Receiver manufactured in 1919. "RIA/(flaming bomb)/9-18" marked barrel, boxed "B.A.-J.S." Benecia Arsenal rebuild cartouche stamped on left stock wrist, and the right with a boxed "O.G.E.K." Ogden Arsenal rebuild cartouche of Elmer Keith, active as a small arms inspector between 1949-1956 (not to be confused with the unboxed OGEK stamping seen on some rifles). Fine overall as arsenal refurbished, with some patches of light pitting visible underneath the finish, light handling marks and scratches. Mechanically excellent. .30-06 Springfield
