Description: The Ruger® Gunsite Scout Bolt-Action Rifle is meant for rugged self-defense environments, where a reliable firearm is pertinent to survival. At the core of the Gunsite Scout Rifle is an ultra reliable M77 action that's based on the Mauser 98 – considered one of the strongest and most dependable firearm designs for over 100 years. The Gunsite Scout action utilizes a controlled-round feed mechanism with a large claw extractor, a fixed-blade ejector, and a 1-piece stainless steel bolt, making it a top choice for facing danger anywhere in the world. The Gunsite Scout rifle features 3 sight options for optimum versatility. The rifle comes with a protected, non glare post front sight, and a ghost ring rear aperture sight, adjustable for windage and elevation. A forward-mounted Picatinny rail allows the attachment of tactical sights with long eye relief. And, the Scout comes with integral scope mounts machined directly on the steel receiver to accept Ruger scope rings (included). A black laminate wood stock provides a stable platform for excellent accuracy, and is impervious to weather. The stock has a rubber recoil pad and three 1/2" spacers that allow optimum fit for various sized shooters or layers of clothing and gear. The barrel is free floated and threaded for the attached flash suppressor. A detachable magazine provides rapid reloading. A 3-position safety allows the shooter to load or unload the rifle with the safety engaged, or the safety can lock the bolt closed.
