Description:
Have a Local Trade...Marlin 36G with Scope & Mount the metal and wood are in great condition for the age 95% plus Condition. It has the normal wear and carry marking from being used but is 100% functional. These are getting harder to find and would make a great hunter or collector due to the "JM" marked barrel. Have included more information regarding the rifle in the ad. Please feel free to ask any questipns or request more pictures of the rifle.

A "Marlin 36G" refers to a lever-action rifle, essentially a simplified version of the Marlin Model 336, marketed under the "Glenfield" brand name, meaning it was a more budget-friendly option with a basic design; it was produced only from 1964 to 1966, featuring a birch stock, a standard 20-inch barrel, and a basic adjustable spring-leaf rear sight; the "G" likely stands for "Glenfield.".
Key points about the Marlin 36G:
  • Simplified Design: Compared to the standard Marlin 336, the 36G had less intricate features and cheaper materials to lower the price point.
  • Glenfield Branding: This rifle was marketed under the "Glenfield" name, which was a subsidiary of Marlin used for more affordable firearms.
  • Production Period: The Marlin 36G was only manufactured for a short period between 1964 and 1966.
  • Stock and Barrel: Typically featured a birch wood stock and a standard 20-inch round barrel.
  • Sights: Basic adjustable spring-leaf rear sight was commonly found on the 36G.
