This Savage Model 99EG, Serial #663515, is in beautiful condition. This 99 in .300 Savage has had a lot of TLC and light use.
- The Walnut stock is 90% plus, and has nice figure. The checkering is strong and sharp. Sling swivels have been added.
- The pistol grip cap has 2 screws as opposed to the more common, one center screw. Note: This is only found on some 99EGs between 1952 – 1953, according to the book, “The SAVAGE 99 Pocket Reference” by Rory Reynoldson and edited by Rick Edmonds.
- The bluing on the barrel and the receiver is 90% plus.
- The bore is shiny and sharp.
- The lever shows strong case color with a little wear.
- The rifle is topped with a classic Weaver K4-60C scope, which fits the time period of this classic rifle. The optics are clear and sharp.
- The rear sight has been replaced with a sight blank.
