SOLD! This handsome Winchester 1876 SRC is in caliber 45-60. Serial number 33146 puts mfg year at 1883. This standard carbine has a 22" round barrel with the unique full stock fore-wood, saddle ring, carbine butt plate, and ladder sight. Note that the sight is the early reverse-style with the graduations located on the bottom of the ladder. The sight is correctly marked "1876" and the graduations are a bit different than what you find on an 1873. Instead of 200-900 yard marks, you find that it is marked 200 to 1000 yards.
Overall, NRA Antique Good + condition. Metal is light silvery-gray and very smooth. Virtually no pitting or corrosion. Address and caliber markings on the barrel are a bit light but very legible. Brass loading block has a nice mustard color with 45-60 caliber designation. Screws are all very good. Very tight mechanics with a very good bore. The wood on this rifle really stands out as beautiful. It is tight to the metal in all places with no chips, cracks, or repairs. This is a great example of a very rare 1876 Carbine
