North Model 1811 U.S. Military Issued & Inspected Flintlock Pistol In Fine Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The rare pistol has fine untouched metal throughout with excellent markings. It is in its original flintlock configuration. The lock is very clearly marked in front of the hammer with a "SPREAD WING EAGLE/U STATES", and behind the hammer "S. NORTH/BERLIN/CON." The barrel is clearly marked with a "Proof Mark(EAGLE HEAD/CT/V". All of the metal on the pistol has a very untouched look with a natural aged patina on it. All edges are nice. All of the original brass hardware is fine and untouched. All of the wood on the U.S. Flintlock Pistol is fine throughout with a wonderful untouched color to it. There are clear U.S. Inspectors marks on the backside of the wood opposite the lock. The ramrod is also original. It has a fine action and bore. There were only 606 of this First Type U.S. Flintlock Pistol made. These Early War Of 1812 S.
