ANTIQUE NEW MODEL REMINGTON - RIDER DOUBLE ACTION BELT REVOLVER PROJECT. SERIAL NUMBER 3899. GUN IS AN OVERALL EVEN PLUM BROWN PATINA. 6 1/2" OCTAGON BARREL, NEAR EXCELLENT STRONG BRIGHT BORE. CYLINDER CHAMBERS ARE SMOOTH AND NIPPLES CLEAR WITH A HOLE IN ONE OF THE STOP NOTCHES (PIC 4) NO IDEA WHY, THE CHAMBER & CYLINDER LOOKS FINE. ACTION WORKS VERY GOOD AND TIMES WELL BOTH SINGLE AND DOUBLE ACTION BUT DOESN'T LOCK UP. IT APPEARS THE LOCKING BOLT HAS WORN SHORT or POSSIBLY A BROKEN TRIGGER SPRING. WALNUT GRIPS HAVE ORIGINAL WORN FINISH WITH RIGHT PANEL SHOWING 2 PERIOD OF USE NOTCHES. I'M SELLING IT AS A PROJECT, AS PICTURED & FOUND. THIS SHOULD BE AN EXCELLENT SHOOTER WHEN REPAIRED.
