Description:
Built on a Sauer action with Husqvarna special steel barrels, this is a rare 103 series Husky 16ga in excellent condition as refinished.  I've been collecting Husqvarna shotguns for over ten years, and this is only the second 103 series 16 I've ever seen, although I've owned several in 12ga.  Husqvarna has one of the longest histories among all gun manufacturers, as they started making high quality guns in the 1600's all the way until the 1970's.  Although the 103 series A,B and C grade came in straight and pistol grip versions, this example was a full pistol grip that I've converted to straight grip with custom checkering, and I've raised the comb 3/8" to modern dimensions of 1 5/8 x 2.25 x 14 1/2 to a Cerveletti lightweight pad.  Gun weighs 6.7 oz.  A longer pad could be added to gain more length if desired.  While hiding the comb raise repair, I re-sculpted the cheek piece to give it more graceful curves, and I've added to and enhanced the wood grain, which was very plain and almost nonexistent.  It is finished with a very tough and durable oil/urethane satin finish and the graining work cannot be harmed with normal use (In addition to being an international award-winning fine artist, I also do custom gun work and you can see some examples at marklarsongunart).

I've shot a few rounds with the gun at trap, and it is a fantastic shooter with very tight lockup and tight, crisp actions.
Barrels ring like new, with perfect mirror bores, no dents or dings, and only one nick about 8" down the right tube.  Wall thickness is .075 there, so it is of no consequence.  The symbols that look like nazi proof marks on the barrel flats are actually old Lappland runes from the Danes and others that Husqvarna used to denote hammer forged barrels.  This gun was made in the 1920's, and Sweden was never occupied by Germany.  They stopped using the symbols during WWII.

You won't find a nicer Husqvarna, and this one of a kind elegant beauty is ready for the field or range, no issues.
