An Early U.S. Civil War Military Issued Percussion Whitneyville Plymouth Model 1861 Navy Rifle In Very Nice Untouched Condition. Serial # 2,686 on the top of the tang behind the barrel. All original and complete. The rifle has very nice untouched metal throughout with fine markings on the lock. Dated 1863. All of the metal on on the rifle has an even and natural light patina throughout it. It has the correct navy sight on it. The rifle has fine wood throughout with a clear U.S. "FCW" Inspectors Cartouche on the backside. The wood has a wonderful color and grain to it. The rifle has an excellent bore and action in it. This Is A Fine Example Of An Early U.S. Civil War Military Issued Whitneyville Plymouth Model 1861 Navy Rifle That Is Dated 1863!
