Remarkable condtion for its age in hard to find 243 is this 1958 (lst gen) Model 88. For those who don't know these are among the most attractive of all the lever guns, are known for having bolt action like accuracy and with their unique short throw lever allow fast follow up shots without taking one's eye from the scope or sight picture while levering in fast 2d or 3d follow up shots to prevent wounded or lost game.
This gun is completely original in its unaltered condition just as it left the New Haven Ct Old Winchester Factory 1 hr from our door. It has the attractive dark American Walnut Stock typical of that era with only minor handling marks and the entire blued surface is as new. This is a classic beautry for you're collection or to hunt with. It has never had a scope mounted and the filler screws are stil in place, missing only the site hood (easily replaced). It has a very small chip at the toe that could easily be touched up by anyone even a little handy.
