Description:
The Browning Model 65 is a copy of the Winchester Model 65. The Win 65 is a lever action based upon the Model 1892 and was chambered for "pistol" cartridges. This 65 is chambered in .218 Bee, a cartridge based upon the .25-20 cartridge and a bit of a competitor with the .22 Hornet. The intended purpose of these cartridges was to control pests and varmints at moderate ranges without disturbing the livestock significantly. The results of both cartridges is rifles with ranges to a couple of hundred yards, and having low recoil and noise. This rifle is in good condition, though it is does have some significant patches of pitting. Most of the blue is intact, as is the wood finish. Bore looks good. .218 Bee
