Designed in 1955 for .357 Magnum and upscaled to .44 Magnum in 1956, the Ruger Blackhawk was designed to be a modernization of the Colt Single Action Army to produce a much stronger and reliable revolver. The New Model Blackhawk includes a transfer bar safety. This example has an unfluted cylinder and was manufactured in 2013. .44 Magnum
