Description:
Hard to find, quality built .243 standard weight with the STEEL buttplate in exceptional condition. There were not a lot of 243 standard weights made to begin with, and since it was a later caliber offering of around 1955, many of those encountered will be later production guns with the plastic buttplates and narrow checkering, etc.
This one is S/N 391393 with a matching scribed bolt made in 1956.
Clean and original in all regards, showing 98% finishes on both metal and wood. The bore is excellent, as are all mechanical functions.
An extremely popular caliber and a great addition to any collection.
