ORNATE CONTINENTAL EUROPEAN Antique Flintlock Pistol w BRASS LOCK, BARREL
18th Century Fighting Pistol in .60 Caliber
Here we present an antique Ornate Continental European Flintlock Martial Pistol, made circa the mid-18th Century. This is a unique pistol in that it has brass barrel and lock plate as well as other fittings. The cock, frizzen, and spring are of course made of iron as they should be. This is a large pistol with a 13 ¼” swamped barrel with a .60 caliber bore. It is quite ornate with its cast and engraved brass fittings with busts on the trigger guard and on the pommel.
The overall condition is fine. Nice patina on the brass and iron. The action is excellent. The bore is smooth and patinated. The stock is in great shape and solid.
