Description:
Serial #100574, .22 S, L, LR, 23 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Winchester model 62A slide action take-down rifle manufactured in 1940. In very fine condition the barrel, frame and magazine tube retain about 60-65% of a later added blue toning to a mottled gray-brown with scattered use marks and shallow nicks along the barrel. The walnut stock and forearm are solid with mild use marks and contusions having the original hard rubber Winchester butt plate that has a chip at the toe. The action functions smoothly. A very fine example of a desirable pre-War model 62A. FFL or C&R
