About Us: I have collected interesting firearms for about 60 years, and am a Benefactor/Life NRA member. I feel that it is now time to start selling a few things. Description:
Exceptional, New in Box, Browning BPCR in the desirable .45-70 Govt. chambering. This Browning BPCR was purchased new by a very good friend of mine in 1998. He loved Shiloh Sharps rifles but felt the need to own one of the new Browning BPCR's. The first thing that he did was to take it to a man who had recently retired from Browning Arms who upgraded the finish on the wood to a AAA hand rubbed finish. This really brought out the character and grain of the walnut. Sadly, my friend passed away in 2016 of a heart attack before he got the chance to see how well it shot. I purchased it from his widow a few years after his death. I have another one just like it that I shoot and I have decided that I don't need an extra. These are very well made, accurate, and beautiful rifles. This one has one of the prettiest stocks that I have seen on a BPCR. Most stocks are rather plain. It has the Browning Vernier Tang sight with the spirit level front sight. I have the original box that the sight came in. My friend had a leather pouch made to slip over the tang sight so it would not scratch the stock. It has a half Octagon, Half Round barrel. It came with a steel buttplate that is case colored to match the action. It is chambered in 45-70 govt. and it will handle Factory loads loaded with smokeless powder. It is designed to shoot best with Black Powder loads. 45-70 brass is readily available as are Dies and bullets. This John Browning design is now 140 years old and is still one of the best single shot actions made. This one is made to compete in BPCR matches and will meet weight specifications. My FFL dealer (Dixie Gun & Fish) securely packs and ships each firearm, following all firearms laws, and will include a signed copy of their FFL with each firearm shipped. No private sales on firearms!

It is a requirement that every used firearm is inspected by a qualified gunsmith before firing. RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day non firing, no-tinkering with (turning screws, taking apart, removing parts, scoping. firing, cleaning or altering in any way) inspection/return privilege. Inspection is based on a visual review of the firearm to confirm that it is in the condition stated. In the case of a return, the buyer pays all shipping charges. Please ask questions.
