Used Colt Government Model 1911 setup as a custom match style pistol. Serial indicates frame is a 1919 commercial frame. Frame has been refinished, front strap has been checkered, and aftermarket hammer/trigger have been installed. Hogue grips. Slide is a newer Colt Mark IV Series 80 government slide with anti glare serrations, which has been cut for a target sight. Dovetail type is unknown - gun is currently fit with a Bo-Mar sight which over hangs the rear of the slide. Dovetail appears to have a shim in it for this sight - possibly was originally an LPA cut. Hammer has been notched to accommodate slight. Barrel appears to match slide. Unknown builder, it is likely this gun was someone‚‚s match pistol that was rebuilt multiple times over its life.
