This is a US Springfield model 1878 chambered in 45/70.
U.S. Model 1878 Springfield trapdoor .45-70 caliber rifle. Excellent bore. Stock has no cartouche. Gun has worn blue and stock is in good condition. This firearm has wear and Petina but given its age it‚‚s in good shape. There are holes in the stock, as if parts are missing. I know sling swivels are missing, I‚‚m not sure about other parts. A picture is worth a thousand words...inspect the photos to know what you‚‚re getting.
