MARLIN MODEL 39A "GOLDEN MOUNTIE" .22 LR, STRAIGHT STOCK 20" CARBINE, #R 3XXX, MADE 1957. Nice early example retains nearly all the blue with only a little thinning of the blue on the barrel top just ahead of the forend. Buckhorn rear sight and blade/bead ramped front sight. Exc. stock and forend (stock needs the little "bullseye" insert- these are available). Exc. bright bore. Great 1950s Marlin, New Haven, CT quality.
