Description:
An excellent 12 gauge side-plated boxlock ejector by Francotte, built for and imported by Von Lengerke & Detmold of New York. The barrels are 30" with 2 3/4" chambers and perfect bores, choked .018/.027 (about modified/improved modified.) The gun locks up tight as new, and features side-clips and a doll's head extension, as well as a blind cross-bolt that passes through the rib extension. The receiver has vivid case colors, and bold border and scroll engraving. The fore-end has an Anson push-rod release. The figured, semi-pistol-grip stock measures 1 3/4" x 2 5/8" x 15" over a leather covered pad. (14 1/4" to the end of the wood.) There is slight cast off (for a right hand shot.) The weight is 7 lbs 6 oz. This beautiful double is built in the style of a pigeon gun, and comes in a very good case.
