A Collector’s Winchester High-Wall 1885 Rifle in 32-40 Caliber with #3 Contour Full Octagon 29-3/4 Inch Barrel; Circa 1907; SN 943XX. It has Factory Double-Set Triggers; Open Sights plus a Lyman Tang Sight and an Unusual Windage-Adjustable Front Bead that rides within it’s own dovetail base (that sits in a dovetail-cut barrel). The Straight-Grip and Straight-Grained Wood Stock appears to be Very Well Preserved Original with some preserved finish on the Crescent Steel Buttplate. The Schnabel Forend has the Typical Ebony Tip Insert. Barrel Markings are on the Left-side Flat next to the Top Barrel Flat in Two Lines: "MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED OCTOBER 7,1879" Condition is best judged from the photos and looks to us as non-experts & non-dealers to be in the approximately 80 Percent Original range. All mechanical functions are tight and functional with barrel rifling and bore that's remarkably well preserved, having no major pits or defects.
