This Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16 rifle is a gas-operated, magazine-fed, semi-automatic rifle, designed to serve as a civilian version of the iconic M14 rifle. This tactical rifle boasts a short 16.5" barrel with a shortened gas system and a proprietary muzzle brake, drastically improving control and maneuverability, while simultaneously reducing recoil. A forward scout-style 1913 Picatinny mount readily accepts red dots and other tactical optics, and an enlarged ghost ring aperture rear sight with a XS Sights tritium front sight offers superior target acquisition in all lighting conditions. The 2-stage, match-grade tuned trigger boasts a clean and crisp 5-lb. pull, while boasting hand-fit construction for reliable, consistent performance and accuracy.
