James Woodward & Son - Matched Set of Identical Guns, O/U, 20ga. 27" Barrels Choked M/F.
Guns are built a couple of years apart. File cut rib, Woodward forend, 2 3/4” chambers. One metal front sight, double trigger, automatic ejector, checkered butt, prince of Wales Woodward grip, drop point. 100% case color, barrel blue, and wood finish. Perfect untouched screws and checkering. Gold oval with four king’s crowns and a cross. Made in approximately 1938. Rose and scroll engraving that is as sharp as the day it was made. Barrel ends still have all the factory scrapes. Proofed at 1oz 2 ¾”. Barrel lettering is perfect. On face, perfect bore diameter. Perfect barrels that are in proofed for 20ga. Engraving is of the very highest order. Not even any sort of edge wear on these guns. Built within a few serial numbers. Cased in oak and leather case with a canvas cover.
