For your consideration, the Tokarev SVT-40 semi-auto rifle chambered in 7.62x54mmR. The Samozaryadnaya vintovka Tokareva (SVT) "Tokarev Self-loading rifle" is a semi-auto rifle that began production in 1940 and saw use during World War 2. These rifles were quite plentiful on the Eastern Front during the war. It spawned competition from the Germans in the form of the Gewehr 43. It was eventually replaced by the SKS and AK-47. 7.62X54R
