Both the furniture and metal are in excellent condition. Sako introduced the L61r in 1962 and the 30.06 caliber in 1967. This first production 30.06 is pre-Garcia and has Bofors steel stamped on its 24" barrel. It is one of the most accurate rifles produced with a smooth bolt action.
